Everyone is talking about going Net Zero and saving the planet. But the truth is no-one really knows what to do.

We have interviewed plenty of experts and businesses on our podcast – and very few seem to have clear ideas of what practical steps a business should take.

Most people don’t even know where they are generally with their climate footprint, let alone how to improve it.

Thankfully Accountants and Auditors are useful for working out your current climate footprint.

So what have we done, and what are we doing?

  1. We have become a member of the SME Climate Hub, part of United Nation’s Race to Zero campaign, and committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2050. Membership involves annual reporting of our carbon footprint and actions taken, as well as access to up-to-date resources, courses and support on ways to help lower our impact.
  2. We have worked out (as best we can) our current climate footprint. One of our biggest impacts is we travel to see our clients around the world, because we do believe in face-to-face meetings.
  3. Any cars owned by the firm are now electric.
  4. We have renovated both our Slough and London offices to be more energy efficient, with our Slough office offering electric charging points for staff cars.
  5. While we work towards Net Zero, we off-set the firm’s carbon footprint via Ecologi so that we are carbon neutral each year. Details of this can be found at Ecologi
  6. We plant a tree for every new client we welcome on board
  7. We are continually working with the best minds we can to find out what else we can do. If you have a suggestion, we would love to hear it.

  1. We donate to various charities we believe in.
  2. We work for various charitable companies for free, or with discounted fees.
  3. We provide a salary sacrifice charitable giving scheme for our staff.
  4. We look after our staff, and their families in times of need through our helping hand fund.
  5. We own our office buildings and we look after them in our communities.
