The Games of Life
The mercury is up in the UK, though for how long who knows. No matter what the weather does though our temperatures are staying high because we are in the grip of Games fever. This month sees our plucky heroes go head to head at the games of life, which is a game we can all put ourselves in a better position to thrive at. After all it doesn’t matter if you are an Olympian at the peak of your physical powers or, well, people like us, your life can be turned upside down in a heartbeat.
Don’t Prevaricate, Get Prepared for the Future
Sadly that sinking feeling is a feeling that we know all too well at Oury Clark, having lost three partners and friends in recent years. This is why we offer a free presentation on how best to prepare for life’s ups and downs (and how to make the most of your money) for our clients, their employees and, well, anyone who wants it.
Our financial services team, alongside our personal tax and legal experts, are able to tailor their presentation according to the needs of your people. Our team is able to talk your team through things like pensions, savings and investments in clear language (and why you should start young, but not to panic if you haven’t). We also cover stickier subjects, like illness and life insurance and the things that everyone puts off (like writing a will).
We know that helping people understand and take control of their financial future – as much as anyone can – makes them happier, healthier (and if we are honest more productive) in the long run.
It’s not a sales pitch, more of a public service broadcast. So if you want to help your staff (and yourself) stop procrastinating and get properly limbered up for the games of life, then let us know.
You can speak to Freddie and John directly by emailing us here or get in touch with your usual contact.
BWB and OC Tackle Climate Change
The pick of the bunch of our recent podcasts is this one with theEconomist Steve Keen. He was such a great guest the first time we had to have him back to debunk more mainstream financial thinking, how orthodox economists are “Loading the Dice Against Pensions”, why they are wrong about how they analyse climate change and much much more.
Climate change is something we are doing our best to tackle ourselves and supporting our clients .e are upping our game to help provide you with an increasing amount of new services. We’ve grouped them all together for you here (did we mention that we had a new website?) and we will be bringing you some even more exciting news next month.
If you need something to listen to whilst “watching this space” do check out our chat with Steve, it’s well worth a listen.
